In this class you’ll learn the very basics of chip carving and begin the process of carving a beautiful candle or succulent holder that will sit proud in place and become a talking point in any setting. Our tutor for this Masterclass, Wanda Gillespie honors both modern and traditional techniques when guiding you on your beginners journey through transferring designs, carving techniques, sharpening and finishing your project. Now this course is designed to be the beginning of your chip carving experience, your course is not just he 4 hours of class time, its the many hours after that we are sure you’ll enjoy creating your very own carve pieces. You’ll be given everything you need to then head on home to continue your experience. As with all of our courses at The Shed Melbourne this is a complete hands on course, besides some instruction from Wanda and guidance this ones all in your hands.

What if I can’t make the course?

Unfortunately due to the nature of our business, and the infrastructure behind each course issuing refunds at present is a difficult task, we ask that you are able to commit to the enrolled class before purchasing and that you do not purchase on a whim. We work tirelessly to give each student a pleasant experience and so every penny made is put straight back into the business. We are happy for any student who cannot attend a class to on-sell their booking to an able and willing participant. Just pass on their details and we will add them to the enrolled class and remove the initial student.

Do you provide the timber and materials?

Yes we provide you with a beginners blank to start your process. We will also offer other blanks for purchase after your session.

Do you provide the tools?

Yes, we provide all of the tools needed on the day.

I can’t pay it all now, will you take part payments?

Unfortunately not at this stage.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing but yourself, everything is catered for in this class.

How old do i need to be to attend this course?

For this course we will allow students from the age of 16y and above. Anyone under the age of 18 must also have a guardian participating in the course with them.
