The Shed offers an array of courses to get you well on your way to becoming the woodworking master you’ve always set out to be. We tailor courses to the absolute beginner all the way up to the advanced furniture designer. Here you’ll find our beginner and introductory courses for those of you ready to get started on your woodworking journey. Our experienced tutors, dedicated owners and woodworking community lends itself to an inner city hobbyist’ dream workshop. With industrial and commercial machinery, sustainably sourced timbers and timber yard connections, our workshop is a wonderland for those who are passionate about woodworking.

Thursday, 8 week beginners course 4pm - 8pm
Saturday, 8 week beginners course 9am - 1pm

Intro to Woodworking - Set Project
Get a taste for what it’s like in the workshop with this 8 week set project. We’ve taken all of the guessing out of it, sometimes it’s difficult to create a custom piece so we’ve done that for you and included Timber as well! You just need to show up for this course. How good?

Chopping Board Masterclass
Jump into the workshop for a day filled with fun creating your very own chopping, charcuterie or cheese board. Be the envy of your party guests by creating your very own hardwood chopping board.
Chip Carving Masterclass
Guided by the wonderful Wanda Gillespie, learn the ancient art of chip carving. In this course you’ll learn the basics of chip carving as well as take home your very own beginners carving set that has everything you’ll need to continue your journey in the are of chip carving.
